Nichols Wins Second Annual Old Tucson Dragway Reunion
Steve Nichols in the "Mill Road Boys" Camaro bodied Nostalgia Funny Car won the Old Tucson Dragway Reunions Nostalgia Funny Car Crown last night. On his way to winning the event, Nichols made the quickest pass ever for a Chevy motored Nostalgia Funny Car with a 6.182 @ 222..66 mph. Southwestern International Raceway sits at 3400 ft and the corrected altitude was approximately 5000 ft. At sea level this run could very easily have been in the 5 Second range.
Mike Adams was the bridesmaid in his first event back in the Nostalgia Funny Car Association's Championship drag racing series. It was Adams first event with his new Plueger chassis.
